Where Are They Now? Since the band disbanded in the mid-1990s, the members of Falling August have achieved remarkable success. Four of the five band members are successful CEOs of companies or organizations on both coasts; all continue to play music, if only informally. Here's a quick snapshot of their whereabouts:

Daniel Sokatch—Lead vocals and acoustic guitar.
Daniel Sokatch is the CEO of the Jewish Community Federation of San Francisco. Previously, he was executive director of the Progressive Jewish Alliance in Los Angeles. A graduate of the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University, Sokatch earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from Boston College Law School. He lives in San Francisco with his wife and two daughters.

Scott Cohen—Backing vocals and acoustic guitar.
Scott Cohen is a recidivist entrepreneur and new-media veteran. Most recently, he founded and sold a publishing company to Haymarket Media in the U.K. Prior to that, he founded and sold a company to CNET Networks. Before that, he was on the team that founded The Boston Globe's Boston.com, and has been involved in a few other start-ups to boot. He lives outside of Boston with his wife and three children.

Steve August—Electric guitar.
Steve August is CEO of Revelation Inc., a market research firm based in Portland, Oregon. Previously, he was principal of KDA Research in San Francisco. Prior to joining KDA, August was in-house technologist and exhibit developer for Gyroscope, a museum exhibit design and planning company based in Oakland, CA. A published songwriter, Steve has had several of his songs featured on the Lifetime cable channel detective drama, "The Division."

Charles Pallone—Percussion. Charlie Pallone holds a coveted buyer position at Whole Foods International, the $6.6 billion natural and organic foods retailer. Located in the northeast regional headquarters, Pallone is involved in buying decisions for a territory that spans from Maine down to Whole Foods's landmark store in Columbus Square, New York City. Previously, Pallone held positions at several natural and healthy living retailers, including MotherNature.com.

Robert Henline—Bass. Bobby Henline is CEO of Henline Builders, a construction and renovation company based in Maynard, Mass. While still performing music professionally, Henline lives by his company's motto, "Better Living Through Custom Carpentry." He is involved in numerous residential construction and renovation projects throughout the northeast, including the development of custom homes in the Greater Boston area. He lives with his wife and daughter in the suburbs of Boston.
