Fan Memories..
In truth, Falling August had few fans, and most of them don't remember much. Those that do are urged to email us with any comment, reminiscence, or general feedback for posting here. Below are comments submitted so far:
Brendan Halpin.
Brendan Halpin is the author of several critically acclaimed novels, including Dear Catastrophe Waitress, Long Way Back, and Donorboy. He has also published two memoirs, Losing My Faculties and It Takes a Worried Man, as well as two novels for young adults: How Ya Like Me Now and Forever Changes. A childhood friend of Falling August frontman Daniel Sokatch, Halpin was an early supporter of the band.
Mark Swartz .
Mark Swartz is the author of the novels H2O and Instant Karma, though he's often mistaken for former Tyco CFO Mark Swartz, who is currently rotting in New York's maximum security Downstate Correctional Facility. A former marketing guru at the Museum of Modern Art, Swartz is currently managing editor at the poverty-fighting Robin Hood Foundation in New York City. A childhood friend of Falling August guitarist Scott Cohen, Swartz claims to have written the bass line for “Moon Song.”
